The GB World Summit 2024: An Exclusive Jiu-Jitsu Experience with Gracie Barra

Approximately 10 years ago, Gracie Barra began a period of very rapid growth. Year after year, our team has been growing at an impressive pace, which led our leadership to adopt a series of measures to keep the team united and connected. We didn't want the essence of Gracie Barra to be lost over time, and for that, we needed people to be able to meet with Master Carlos Gracie Jr. and the team representatives to preserve our essence, connect with our values, and continue on the mission to spread the benefits of Jiu-Jitsu in the best way possible.

In 2017, our first global meeting took place, called the Gracie Barra World Summit, in Las Vegas. The event brought together hundreds of GB members from all continents to participate in seminars, lectures, graduations, dinners, and many happy moments with everyone together.

In 2019, we held the event again, this time in San Diego, which had the participation of over a thousand people. The GB members gathered there were able to learn, develop their Jiu-Jitsu, create new bonds, and share good times with those who share the same journey and lifestyle.

Then came the pandemic. A very difficult moment with great challenges. How to practice a contact sport in the midst of a pandemic caused by a virus that spreads through contact?

And after many adversities imposed by restrictions and isolation, we gathered again in Sedona, and once again, hundreds of people were able to embrace, train, reconnect, and feel the strength of being part of something so great.

Gracie Barra has been recognized 5 times as the best Jiu-Jitsu team in the world. Only such a consolidated and united team could do something like the event in Florianópolis in 2022, with almost a thousand people in search of the same.

Jiu-Jitsu has the power to transform lives. And to ensure that this continues to happen, we invite you to the next big meeting of the GB family.

For the first time, the GB World Summit will be held at an all-inclusive resort, Sandpiper Bay, located near Miami.

We've learned many lessons from past events, and we discovered that when attendees have the opportunity to spend quality time together between the scheduled activities, they have reported a greater feeling of connectedness with the GB family. For this reason, we opted for the all-inclusive resort, which will provide many of those opportunities to connect with others around the resort.

So, we decided to bring that to the World Summit 2024! An exclusive experience together with Master Carlos Gracie Jr. in a paradisiacal family resort. The summits have enjoyed a high attendance rate in the past, with around 900 attendees at the last event. This time we are making the event a more exclusive experience, with a max capacity of less than half that amount of people. There are only 300 rooms available. This represents another evolution in how we run our events, having fewer attendees but immersive quality time together in a beautiful resort.

How to get there: The best way is to get a flight to Fort Lauderdale and, from there, get a transfer or rent a car to Port Saint Lucie, where the resort is located. You can also get a flight to Miami, but the commute time will be a bit longer.

Don't forget to bring your swimsuit, white gi, your red competition T-shirt, sunblock, and a hat to protect yourself from the sun for outdoor activities!
